ACC Sustainable Student Farm
The ACC Sustainable Student Farm is a 17-acre facility located just off Highway 290 at Austin Community College’s Elgin campus. Our working farm provides hands-on education and training in farm-to-market sustainable agricultural environment.
Students get experience in various agricultural practices, including operating a greenhouse and market garden, raising livestock, and beekeeping. Through farm stands, students sell the fresh food they grow, learning the business side of farming.
Volunteer Fridays
Are you looking for ways to connect with the farm and give back to the community? Look no further than our volunteer hours on Fridays. From September – June, individuals and groups interested in volunteering can do so on Fridays from 9 AM – 12 PM. In July we reduce our hours to 9 AM – 11 AM due to the summer heat and in August we take a break completely.
What better way to learn about the soil than to get your hands dirty?
