Did you know the ACC Agricultural Sciences Department hosts weekly, student-run farm stands with fresh, chemical-free produce available for purchase? All produce is grown on the ACC Sustainable Student Farm at the Elgin Campus.

Pick up your veggies and support your community! All proceeds go back to the Agricultural Sciences Department to fund an hourly position on the farm to help grow more produce.

Elgin Farm Stand

Since the Fall of 2022 you can catch us at our home campus on Mondays. We’re posted up  in building 1000 from 1 PM -2 PM and then bring the market to you in the foyer of building 2000. Connect with our farm manager, learn about our programming, the Sustainable Student Farm and of course, get some veggies!

Highland Campus Farm Stand

On Wednesdays you can find our interns and staff at the ACC flagship campus selling our sustainability grown vegetables right in front of Eatery73 from 1 PM – 4 PM. Grab some lunch at the cafe then pop by the stand to say hello and grab some delicious in season produce. Just like our home campus farm stand, we’ve been popping up at the Highland Campus since the Fall of 2022.

Elgin Farmers Market

In November 2024 we entered the Elgin Farmers Market to support the Elgin Campus mission of being a community campus. What better way to connect with the community about programming and produce than in person at the local farmers market? Thursdays from 4 PM – 7 PM at Veterans’ Memorial Park.

This small but mighty farmers market has historically served as an incubator market for small producers and entrepreneurs alike. For over 30 years, producers and makers have been checking their business viability at this market before entering into larger markets in Austin and beyond.

After a three year hiatus, the Market reformed with renewed young energy on the fully volunteer Board of Directors. You can find more information about the Market and its vendors at www.elginfarmersmarket.com.
