Ellen Beaman began farming organic vegetables in Central Texas in 2001 and received her Bachelor of Science in Agronomy from Texas Tech University. After managing and consulting for organic farms in the Austin area for over 10 years, she began teaching for ACC’s Sustainable Agriculture and Landscape Horticulture Departments in 2017. In addition to teaching for both the accredited and Continuing Education programs, Ellen is also the Program Coordinator for the Landscape Horticulture Program. When she is not teaching and volunteering for the Austin Parks Foundation, Ellen enjoys spending time with her cat and finding new varieties of garlic to grow.”
