Role Overview: We are seeking a passionate and driven individual to join our team as a GIS Trainer and Curriculum Developer. In this role, you will work closely with our experienced trainers to deliver high-quality GIS training sessions and develop engaging curriculum content. This position offers the opportunity for travel within the US and abroad to support training workshops and events.

Responsibilities:
• Assist in the delivery of GIS training sessions, including instructional support and technical assistance.
• Collaborate with trainers to develop and update curriculum materials, ensuring content relevance and alignment with industry standards.
• Conduct research to identify emerging trends and best practices in GIS technology and applications.
• Provide technical support to participants during training sessions, troubleshooting issues, and answering questions.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of training programs.
• Other duties as assigned to support the TeachMeGIS training and curriculum development efforts.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Biology, Mathematics, Environmental Science, or related field preferred. An associate degree will be considered, depending on the candidate’s recommendations and willingness to learn.
• Strong understanding of GIS principles and software, or foundational knowledge and a strong willingness to learn on the job.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse audiences.
• Experience in curriculum development or instructional design, including technical writing, is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• English fluency and the ability to communicate clearly in English, both spoken and written, is required.
