Job Summary

We are currently seeking a Drone Pilot to assist with an unmanned aircraft system’s ground and flight operations. As part of ground operations, you will perform safety checks and troubleshoot mechanical equipment issues. Your other duties involve making the right decisions at the right time during each flight, which includes considering the weather, route, fuel, or technical requirements of the UAS and the objective. To apply for this position, you will need your Remote Pilot Certificate (UAS Part 107 license) or obtain it within 45 days from the hiring date.

Drone Pilot initial Duties and Responsibilities

  • Remote pilot a drone, following a specific flight plan or obtaining valuable footage.
  • Perform preflight, in-flight, and post-flight safety checks
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues
  • Ensure compliance with all FAA regulations

Drone Pilot Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • Remote Pilot Certificate from the FAA (UAS Part 107 license) or obtain it within 45 days from the hiring date
  • Comfortable operating a UAS in various weather and light conditions
  • Basic knowledge of global navigation satellite systems (GNSS)
  • Hand-eye coordination
  • Able to lift 35 lbs.
  • Good driving record
  • The drive to learn new things

Good to have:

  • Familiar with CAD and survey operations.
  • Basic computer skills
