Field Survey Technician
Essential Functions:
- Collect field data using technology such as GPS devices, locators, and scanners.
- Prepare sketches and notes of collected field data for presentation.
- Mark up utilities with paint and understand color scheme of each utility.
- Willing to learn about drone technology and obtain drone pilot License.
- Upload field data in proper format to project folders.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 15+ lbs of equipment for extended periods.
- Ability to walk long distances when fielding large projects.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
- Experience with GIS and survey (preferred but not required)
Required Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
Additional Eligibility Qualifications (Requirements):
- Be able to read, write, and speak English at a professional level
- Have a Valid Driver’s License
- Be able to legally work in the United States without sponsorship
- Have or be able to obtain reliable transportation
- Pass criminal background check
Location: Austin, TX with travel to projects sites as needed.
Travel: 50%+ Travel is expected for this position’s essential job duties.
