We currently have an opening for a Party Chief to join our Surveying team.

General Responsibilities:

  • Accurately calculates and records field data
  • Reviews job specifications and plans field work methods and costs
  • Operates survey instruments, manual and power tools to obtain data
  • Locates and identifies property corners
  • Stakes and measures control points
  • Prepares and maintains inventory of equipment and materials
Required Education/Licenses:

  • HS Graduate or GED 
Required Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Party Chief performing Topographic/Design Surveys, ALTA and Boundary Surveys, and TXDOT Roadway Surveys. Construction surveying experience is a plus.
  • At least 4 years of experience utilizing survey equipment including Total Station, GPS, and digital levels. Trimble equipment preferred.
  • Good Communication Skills, attention to detail and strong background in assuring that data is correct and complete. Must be able to follow directions either verbally or written in work orders.
  • Have a good work history that includes punctuality and attendance.
  • Be able to travel when necessary.
  • Be able to communicate with project managers, clients and landowners.
  • Be able to plan, adapt and overcome issues that are encountered during multiple sectored projects.
  • Ability to walk long distances, get over fences and other obstacles and carry heavy loads to and from the project sites.
  • Good leadership and supervisory skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Occasional lifting/carrying of 25 pounds and up to 50 pounds
  • Driving to and from various project sites
