This means great opportunity when you choose an Associate of Arts in Construction Management. The greatest career growth is possible if you enter the field early in your career. Paid internships are possible, giving you real-life experience and contacts in the industry.We offer an Associate of Arts and Science in Construction Management.

Person seeking a career transition into the construction field?
Only need an Associates
Many well-paying, management positions require a Bachelor’s degree to enter the field. Construction Management only requires an Associate’s degree to make a transition in your career. You can have a fast paced career in a growth industry very quickly.
If you have no prior college, it only takes about two years to complete the AAS or three to four semesters (with prior experience) for the Level I Certificate. We have Awards for many different goals and objectives.

What experience do the instructors have in the construction/woodworking industries?
All of the instructors have worked in the construction and/or woodworking industries for years in a variety of roles. Many instructors have over 10 years of experience or have owned their own businesses in the field.
Who can enroll?
Prospective students can see if they are eligible to enroll in BCT programs by checking the Admissions website for Austin Community College.
I have previous experience working in construction, can I challenge a course for credit for my experience?
Yes, please contact the relevant instructor for the course you would like to challenge and discuss if your previous experience is relevant to the curriculum.
I have previous college credit, how can I find out what is acceptable for transfer to BCT?

How do I apply?
- The Admissions home page has links to much of the information new students need to know, including how to enroll and register for classes.
- Based on your background – if you are a former ACC student, transfer student, international, Early College start (in high school), a senior citizen or other type – there may be some difference in the process of becoming an ACC student.
- The Academic Calendar includes registration dates and starting and ending dates of classes.
- Tuition and Fees Information and Financial Aid areas explain the tuition and fee amounts and options for financial and tuition payments.
- Scholarships are available. Some are available for all students, others are program specific or student group specific (e.g. military or children of military). For details on Building Construction Technology scholarships, visit the BCT Scholarships page.
I have previous experience working in construction, can I challenge a course for credit for my experience?
People who are at least 65 years of age can take up to 6 hours per semester for free if there is room in the class; the free Senior Citizen registration begins after the regular registration has closed. To guarantee a spot in the class, senior citizens need to register and pay for the class as a regular student.Details on how to apply as a senior citizen and register.
