Job Websites
There are many job search sites where you can search for construction jobs and/or add (or upload) your resume. Many (but not all) sites are free for job seekers. Some sites focus on certain careers, others have jobs from many fields. Many let you surf jobs without providing your email and other contact information; to apply for a job or upload your resume does require creating a (usually free) account.
ACC’s Jobs Site via Handshake – featuring internship opportunities, part-time work, and full-time work. Create an account, customize your job profile and view various jobs curated by ACC’s Career Services.
Monster.com – upload a resume or use their resume builder. Has many job search, interview and other tips and resources; periodically emails them.
WorkInTexas.com – run by the Texas Workforce Commission; completely free for employers and job seekers. Has a detailed resume builder and job search area.
CareerBuilder.com – search for jobs and/or upload a resume
LinkedIn.com – “professional Facebook”, has a resume builder, many jobs, discussion/networking groups. Connect (“link”) to people you know, get recommendations and introductions to potential interviewers from people you both know.
