\"Programs\"There is tremendous scope and career potential within the field of welding technology. It is such a diverse field that there is an application for virtually every personality type. The Welding Technology Department offers a variety of award plans to fit the varying needs and goals of aspiring welding professionals.<\/p>\n

A distinct difference between the AAS degrees and the certificates is that the degrees require five core curriculum courses, like English, math, and history. To help place a student into the correct level of these courses, the student must complete TSI testing<\/a>. The certificates do not include these courses, and so they do not require the testing. AAS Degrees<\/strong><\/p>\n

A full time student can complete the Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degrees<\/a> within two years.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","column_2":"

Associate of Applied Science Degrees:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Can be completed in two years. These awards include general education courses (English, math, history, philosophy, speech). Because of this, students who declare an AAS major will be required to take the TSI<\/a>\u00a0or other assessment.<\/p>\n
