We also have a\u00a0list of Frequently Asked Questions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":4,"featured_media":0,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-1755","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":{"layouts":[{"acf_fc_layout":"two_columns","heading":"","column_1":" In your first semester you should start with the introductory level classes listed in your chosen program.\u00a0 See all Welding Technology programs here<\/a>.\u00a0 You don’t have to take courses in the exact sequence listed, but you do need to take courses in sequence based on prerequisites.\u00a0 Course prerequisites are listed in the course descriptions<\/a>.<\/p>\n If you don’t know what program will suit you best, you can get started by taking some basic courses that are applicable to many of our awards.<\/p>\n All Welding Technology associate of applied science (AAS) awards require:<\/p>\n Our Architectural and Ornamental Metals course sequence begins with:<\/p>\n Pipe Welding program note:\u00a0 WLDG 1435 Introduction to Pipe Welding<\/a> is not an introductory level course.\u00a0 Students must first complete WLDG 1428 Introduction to Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW)<\/a> and WLDG 1457 Intermediate SMAW<\/a>.\u00a0 All of the courses in the Pipe Welding Certificate have prerequisites which are included in the Structural Welding Certificate<\/a>.\u00a0 All of the courses in these two certificates are also required for the Code Welding AAS<\/a>.<\/p>\n In your second semester you can move on to the next level of courses.\u00a0 It is wise to keep going with a welding process once you have begun the course sequence so that you don’t lose too much of the skills you learned before starting the next level.\u00a0 For example:<\/p>\n Whatever you need, we hope to have you covered.
