Scholarships<\/a> are available from several sources. Applications for most of the\u00a0fall semester scholarships must be submitted by May 1 (for high school seniors, the priority deadline is April 1). All HART students who can use assistance paying for tuition, books fees or tools in are encouraged to apply for a scholarship.<\/p>\n

Industry-specific scholarships include ASHRAE<\/a> (American Society of Heating Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers).<\/p>\n

Be aware that\u2026<\/strong><\/h2>\n

A letter of recommendation from an instructor (optional) can help your application stand out from others.<\/p>\n

If you apply for one scholarship and don\u2019t receive that one, you are automatically considered for all other scholarships for which you are eligible.<\/p>\n

Scholarship awards look great on resumes. Apply!<\/p>\n

Many scholarships are for one academic year. If you receive a scholarship during your first year, you can reapply during your second year at ACC.<\/p>\n

There are also\u00a0numerous scholarships available to students in all areas of study<\/a>,\u00a0outside scholarships<\/a>\u00a0and scholarships for\u00a0veterans<\/a>. HART students seeking scholarships are encouraged to look into these scholarships.<\/p>\n

Tips on writing the essay for ACC scholarships<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Don\u2019t panic! Just write a paragraph or two about your education and career goals \u2013 why you chose ACC and your plans after graduation. That\u2019s all that is needed.<\/p>\n

Getting started:<\/p>\n

  1. Write the first draft in a word processor.<\/li>\n
  2. Consider having someone else read it for content and grammar \u2013 ask an instructor or someone from the Learning Lab<\/a><\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  3. Copy and paste it into the scholarship application.<\/li>\n
