The Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technology Level 1 Certificate program provides the basics of service and repair. It is best suited for the individual desiring to enter the field with a minimum of formal training. All courses in the one-year certificate can be applied toward the Heating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration Technology Associate of Applied Science Degree. After completing the Certificate program, the student should possess the knowledge and skills to troubleshoot and repair the heating and cooling systems of most residential split systems.
