The GIS Department is hiring GIS Tutors for the Spring 2026 semester!<\/p>\n

If you’ve answered “yes” then you should apply to be a GIS\u00a0Tutor<\/span>!\u00a0

Tutor<\/span>\u00a0responsibilities\u00a0will include:<\/b><\/div>\n
\u00a0– Assisting people with GIS during regularly scheduled shifts<\/div>\n
\u00a0– Captioning project and lecture videos between helping students<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\u00a0– Assisting instructors with updating screenshots in SOWs<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/b><\/div>\n
GIS\u00a0tutors<\/span>\u00a0need to have completed the following courses with a grade of B or better:<\/b><\/div>\n
– Intro to GIS<\/div>\n
– Intro to Geospatial Data<\/div>\n
– Intermediate GIS<\/div>\n
– Map design and use (Cartography)<\/div>\n
– Data Acquisition & Analysis<\/div>\n

We are looking\u00a0for\u00a0both in-person and remote\u00a0tutors<\/span>\u00a0(preference will be given to applicants with on-campus\u00a0tutoring<\/span>\u00a0availability).\u00a0The deadline to apply to be a\u00a0tutor<\/span>\u00a0is\u00a0January 14, 2026<\/b><\/div>\n
