The American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS) Gulf South Region (Louisiana & Texas) will hold its 4th Annual Business Meeting & Geospatial Conference March 12th,13th and 14th 2025 at The University of Texas Commons Conference Center in Austin, Texas. The Objectives of the Gulf South Region include advancing knowledge in imaging and geospatial information within the Region and we support this mission through our conference and by emphasizing student participation.<\/p>\n

\nb) Emerging technologies (e.g. Uncrewed Aerial Systems (aka Drone), Terrestrial Laser Scanning System, LiDAR, SAR, Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, Real-time Monitoring, Digital twins, Holocomputing, GEOAI\/Machine Learning\/Deep Learning algorithms)
\nc) Importance of undergraduate research at a predominantly teaching institution
\nd) Graduate and undergraduate student research (oral and poster presentations)<\/p>\n
\nWe have a Graduate Student and an Undergraduate Student Division this year. ASPRS Gulf South Chapter Best Student Oral\/Poster Awards in both divisions. We have first and second place best student oral\/poster awards with a monetary value of $500 and $250 respectively.<\/p>\n
