The City of Luling is now accepting applications for a full-time\u00a0GIS\/Mapping Utility Locator<\/strong>. \u00a0 Requirements include, but are not limited to documentation of a High School diploma or GED, computer literate and knowledge and use of mobile applications, must be in good physical health, able to read building schematics, plans, and drawings, supply a current copy of your driving record. \u00a0Under the supervision of the current Director of GIS\/Mapping and Code Enforcement, performs locates on existing electric, water and wastewater utility services, GPS new utilities and repairs of existing utilities. \u00a0This position would also be assisting the Code Enforcement Officer with performing investigations, evaluations, and research associated with improvement or abatement of code violations. Determines the presence of nuisance violations, health hazards, un-safe building conditions and, any violations of any health, building or land use regulations, statute or ordinance and must be able to pass licensing exam, registration, and classes within 90 days of employment.<\/p>\n

Salary is dependent on experience. \u00a0Applications are available at City Hall, 509 E. Crockett St., and may be picked up Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. \u00a0Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.<\/p>\n
