The Planning Department is seeking a Planner Principal to lead an interdisciplinary team in support of Equitable Transit Oriented Development (ETOD) station area planning activities and other long range planning activities.<\/p>\n
Duties, functions, and responsibilities include: Supervising full time professional staff; managing consultant contracts; coordinating equitable, participatory planning processes that focus on engaging historically excluded communities. Also responsible for identifying analysis needs and overseeing technical analyses; coordinating development of small area policy plans; coordinating development of regulating plans and other amendments to the land development code in support of Equitable Transit Oriented Development.<\/p>\n
Position duties also include maintaining and developing partnerships with internal and external stakeholders in support of Equitable Transit Oriented Development; presenting to a range of audiences including Austin City Council; responding to high level inquiries from media and public; and other lead planning activities as needed to support Equitable Transit Oriented Development station area planning activities in Austin.
