Position Information<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>TxDOT’s GIS team is seeking motivated individuals to join the largest GIS shop in Texas state government. \u00a0Come join our team of highly experienced, tech-savvy GIS professionals working in a collaborative, fun-loving, team environment.<\/p>\n

Perform GIS data entry, analysis, and editing work in the development of the state’s GIS roadway network. The position includes significant opportunities to grow GIS skills and contribute directly to exciting projects. Work includes editing roadways, making maps, contributing to team projects, and developing custom tools and applications. Candidates work independently and in small team settings. Entry-level positions work under the supervision of a GIS technical lead.<\/p>\n

Ideal candidates are proactive and resourceful and have an interest in learning how to work with large datasets, perform analysis, make maps, and do basic coding. Opportunities for training and growing skills using ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online\/Portal, Python, SQL, JavaScript, and FME.<\/p>\n
