We work with other City departments, County and State partners, nonprofits, and community advocates on a regular basis to make progress towards our goal. Our highly motivated and passionate team seeks someone who embraces this ambitious goal and is ready to make a significant contribution to saving lives in the Austin community.<\/div>\n<div><!--more--><br \/>\nThe Vision Zero Program has an opening for an IT Geospatial Analyst Sr. to address a core element of the overall safe systems approach of Austin\u2019s Vision Zero program: Data Evaluation and Analysis. Significant program decisions depend on high quality data analysis to inform our initiatives and collaborations with ATD\u2019s other divisions and other key partner agencies.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>The IT\u00a0<span class=\"caps\">GIS<\/span>\u00a0Analyst Sr. will perform regular and rigorous data analyses to identify opportunities to reduce the future occurrence of severe car crashes. The position will be responsible for developing reports and\u00a0<span class=\"caps\">GIS<\/span>-based applications to inform operational decision-making as well as informing the public. The Austin Strategic Mobility Plan and Strategic Direction 2023 provide the policy guidance and define the performance measures for Vision Zero efforts.<\/p>\n<p>The ideal candidate is passionate about achieving Vision Zero goals, has an in-depth understanding of data management best practices, is comfortable with flexibility, and can work in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
