If you are an undergraduate, postgraduate or an early-career researcher who uses the ArcGIS System for teaching or research then you could win the 2026 Jack Dangermond Young Scholar Award. This prestigious award recognises young researchers who have applied GIS innovatively in their university course work, or research.
Prize
The 2026 Jack Dangermond Young Scholar will win:
- Entry to the 2026 Esri UC in San Diego
- Return flights to San Diego
- Accommodation for the duration of the event
- Young Scholar Trophy
Entries
Entrants need to submit an ArcGIS StoryMap that demonstrates how they have used GIS during their research. The judges will be looking for a researcher that has made use of multiple components of the ArcGIS System or who has approached their research in a novel, innovative way.
