From Texas State University:

Greetings Geographers,

Every spring, the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies at Texas State University hosts the PANGEA Conference (Promoting Advancement in Nature, Geography & Environmental Analysis).

PANGEA is a one-day, on-campus conference showcasing undergraduate and graduate research in geography and environmental studies. The conference offers students an opportunity to present their research (paper or poster), practice their presentation skills, and receive feedback in a supportive academic setting.

The conference is free to attend and includes snacks, coffee, and lunch. In addition to poster and paper presentations, the event also features a GeoBowl competition.

This year, the conference will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026 in the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies, Evans Liberal Arts Building – in San Marcos, TX.

Registration is now open for the 2026 PANGEA Conference. Please register by Friday, February 13, 2026, so that we can ensure an accurate count of participants.
