The GIS Department is hiring GIS Tutors for the Spring 2026 semester!

If you’ve answered “yes” then you should apply to be a GIS Tutor!
Tutor responsibilities will include:
– Assisting people with GIS during regularly scheduled shifts
– Captioning project and lecture videos between helping students
– Assisting instructors with updating screenshots in SOWs
GIS tutors need to have completed the following courses with a grade of B or better:
– Intro to GIS
– Intro to Geospatial Data
– Intermediate GIS
– Map design and use (Cartography)
– Data Acquisition & Analysis
We are looking for both in-person and remote tutors (preference will be given to applicants with on-campus tutoring availability). The deadline to apply to be a tutor is January 14, 2026
