Every spring, the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies at Texas State University hosts a one-day conference on campus, formerly known as GESSRS and now renamed the PANGEA Conference, to showcase graduate and undergraduate research in geography and environmental studies. The event is free and includes lunch, poster and paper research presentations, and a GeoBowl competition. This year, the symposium is scheduled for Friday, February 28, 2025. They also have a series of special sessions planned, including a Graduate Program Info Session and a Career Panel.
As a friendly reminder, registration is now open for the 2025 PANGEA Conference. ACC Students are welcome to attend whether or not they are presenting a paper or poster. This year, they have separate paper/poster competitions for undergraduates and graduate students, allowing contestants to compete at their appropriate academic levels. Winners will receive cash prizes! Please register by the deadline, Wednesday, February 5, 2025.
