Announcing Two Water Conservation Internship opportunities with the City of Austin!
The City of Austin’s Water Conservation Department is offering two internship opportunities for students currently enrolled in GIS, Geography, Environmental, or Planning degree programs. We welcome candidates at all degree levels (Associate’s, Undergraduate, Graduate, and Post-Graduate). These are paid internships, with a starting hourly rate of $21.63, based on the level of degree.
Duration: 8-month internships, starting within the next few weeks through September
Location: Austin Water’s downtown office
Hours: Flexible (20-40 hours per week)
Key Responsibilities:
- Water-use benchmarking & data analysis projects
- Assisting with irrigation zone mapping and surface analysis using GIS
