Job Summary:

The GIS Analyst Intern will perform Geographic Information Systems (GIS) tasks supporting the GIS, Land, Site Origination & various other team’s requests. The individual must be able to handle GIS-related tasks and be detail-oriented. This position involves working in a fluid environment and communicating with co-workers and external parties. The successful applicant will need the skills to conduct GIS tasks, including creating, updating, editing, and reviewing spatial (vector/raster) and tabular datasets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conversion of spatial datasets to/from various formats (e.g. KML/KMZ, Shapefiles, Feature Class, etc).
  • Use appropriate software (e.g., MS Excel, ArcGIS Pro) to perform tabular data analysis.
  • Ad Hoc map/exhibit requests.
  • Assist in the production of packets for permitting applications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of ESRI Enterprise platform (ArcGIS Pro, Portal, Server)
  • Knowledge of Google Earth to view and generate KML/KMZ
  • Knowledge of ESRI Field Maps is a plus.
  • Knowledge of relational databases is a plus.
