Job Description:
Platte River Analytics is seeking qualified applicants for an entry to mid-level technical position primarily responsible for maintaining Geographic Information Systems (GIS) data and leveraging geospatial technologies in support of our core services. These core services include renewable energy, oil and gas, broadband access, real estate, and other related GIS services. The successful candidate must have a knowledge of ESRI products including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online. The ideal candidate will also have experience with oil and gas and/or renewable energy projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, design, implement, and maintain GIS projects and data.
- Generate custom maps and analysis for numerous clients covering a variety of projects.
- Publish and maintain ArcGIS web-based map services and applications including Web AppBuilder and Experience Builder in ArcGIS Online.
- Expand GIS capabilities by exploring new technologies and software, plus ways to improve existing methods, tools, and workflows.
- Work in a collaborative environment that includes 3rd party contractors, clients, and members of the Platte River Analytics’ team.
- Read, map and/or digitize legal land descriptions, plats and mineral leases to support oil and gas GIS projects.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Associates Degree or Certificate in Geography, GIS, Urban Planning or related field from an accredited college oruniversity.
- 1 to 5 years of experience in GIS/Geography field. Priority to those with previous experience or internship.
- Above average knowledge, with documented experience, with ESRI software including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGISOnline. Knowledge of ModelBuilder, ArcGIS Online apps and dashboards, and geoprocessing tools a plus.
- Self-motivated, quick learning, curious, resourceful, flexible individual with a common-sense approach toconducting business and workload management.
- Ability to work independently and remotely while maintaining multiple projects.
Schedule and Compensation:
This position will be 40 hours per week and will be worked remotely and virtually. There will be core hours that need to be worked 4 days per week, but the hours can be flexible. Beginning compensation will be $24-$29 an hour depending on previous experience and education.
