P2 Energy Solutions (P2) is seeking qualified candidates to fill the role of GIS Intern this summer in the San Antonio area.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Summer internships are an 8-week program that combines on-the-job training with structured learning opportunities. Our interns participate in projects with our experienced technicians or in support functions where needed. These projects are designed to provide valuable, firsthand experience in the upstream Oil and Gas Data and Software industry and excellent opportunities for networking and professional growth. Interns can expect to be involved with; associated data, related to the oil and gas industry – wells, mineral leases, surface ownership, and/or land grid.
Qualifications:
- Students must be currently enrolled in a four-year college or university and classified as a junior or senior in good standing with their University
- Field of study to be considered, but not limited to, are:
- GIS
- Geography
- Environmental Science
- Related GeoScience fields
- ESRI-based mapping and GIS fundamental knowledge required; ArcPro knowledge is a plus
- Data entry, validation, verification, and quality control, with minimal error.
- Basic ability to interpret various legal descriptions of locations; understanding relationships between survey and other land grid systems, lease and ownership layers, imagery, USGS topographic maps, and well locations
