GIS Intern – North Austin, TX
Halff Associates has an immediate opening for a GIS Intern in our North Austin, TX location to provide support for GIS database development and engineering-related studies.
GIS Intern Overview:
Responsibilities will include converting data from engineering RAS Models to GIS; assisting in floodplain data processing and various Water Resources related tasks; creating and editing shapefiles, geodatabases, and raster datasets; analyzing spatial relationships; and working with LIDAR and aerial mapping datasets. Creation of map exhibits for use in reports and presentations.
GIS Intern Requirements:
Pursuing an Associate’s or a BS degree in Geography, Engineering, Computer Science, or other GIS-related field
Working knowledge of general GIS concepts (topology, relationships, queries, etc.)
GIS Intern Desired Skills:
ArcGIS Pro or similar Geospatial software application
Microsoft Office
