This position is designed to provide hands-on experience with surveying equipment, field procedures, and safety protocols. You will work closely under the supervision of Field Crew Chiefs and contribute to the successful execution of survey projects.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities <\/strong><br \/>\n<em>Field Operations &amp; Equipment Handling<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Load and unload all field equipment and batteries daily<\/li>\n<li>Charge batteries properly and consistently<\/li>\n<li>Maintain truck organization: restock supplies, remove trash, submit receipts, and coordinate vehicle cleaning<\/li>\n<li>Clean and maintain field equipment and ensure readiness for daily use<\/li>\n<li>Safely and accurately set up field equipment including:\n<ul>\n<li>Data Collector<\/li>\n<li>Robotic Total Station<\/li>\n<li>GPS Base<\/li>\n<li>Digital Level<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Technical Skills &amp; Support <\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop a basic understanding of field equipment and its purpose<\/li>\n<li>Operate equipment under supervision of Field Crew Chief<\/li>\n<li>Assist with project setup and execution in the field<\/li>\n<li>Take direction from Field Crew Chief to efficiently complete tasks<\/li>\n<li>Interact professionally with client representatives and landowners<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Safety &amp; Compliance<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Attend bi-weekly safety meetings<\/li>\n<li>Follow all OSHA standards, company safety protocols, and wear required PPE<\/li>\n<li>Stay hydrated and communicate any health concerns immediately<\/li>\n<li>Seek guidance from the Safety Coordinator<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Growth &amp; Development:<\/strong> Capital Surveying supports professional development through mentoring and hands-on training.
