Purpose<\/strong><\/p>\n

This individual will be required to operate survey instruments and be required to perform surveys as directed by management.<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n

At the Operational and Company Level<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  • Assist the field supervisor with all aspects of the daily crew workload.<\/li>\n
  • Daily, work safely and in compliance with all safety regulations.<\/li>\n
  • Daily care of instruments and vehicle.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Do the Work<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • Work as a member of a survey crew performing boundary, topography, ALTA, right-of-way, and construction surveys for public and private clients.<\/li>\n
    • Set-up and operate survey equipment, including total-station, data-collector, level, and GPS<\/li>\n
    • Perform survey calculations.<\/li>\n
    • Perform all aspects of stakeout and locations surveys using applicable survey equipment.<\/li>\n
    • Maintain survey equipment used and keep survey truck stocked with necessary supplies and tools.<\/li>\n
    • Coordinate work of assigned subordinate personnel.<\/li>\n
    • Assist and train personnel in lower-level positions.<\/li>\n
    • Make accuracy and calibration checks and adjustments on equipment used.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      • Ability to ask for additional direction and assistance when needed.<\/li>\n
      • Works effectively with internal leaders as well as external clients.<\/li>\n

      • Have a strong element of quality control \/ attention to detail at all levels.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Minimum Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n

          \n
        • High school diploma or GED required.<\/li>\n
        • College or technical courses in mathematics and surveying.<\/li>\n
        • Minimum of one to two (1-2) year\u2019s survey or construction related experience preferred.\u00a0 Prior Instrument Operator experience preferred.<\/li>\n
        • Familiar with field procedures for performing boundary, topographic, ALTA\/NSPS land title surveys.<\/li>\n
        • Ability to work outside in all seasons.<\/li>\n
        • Travel and overtime required.<\/li>\n
        • Valid driver\u2019s license with a clean driving record required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
