{"id":1111,"date":"2022-03-01T21:47:46","date_gmt":"2022-03-01T21:47:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dmcat.austincc.edu\/ge\/?p=1111"},"modified":"2022-03-01T21:47:46","modified_gmt":"2022-03-01T21:47:46","slug":"open-rodman-position-at-pape-dawson","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dmcat.austincc.edu\/ge\/blog\/2022\/03\/01\/open-rodman-position-at-pape-dawson\/","title":{"rendered":"Open Rodman Position at Pape-Dawson"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Overview<\/strong><br \/>\nAs a member of a survey crew, the Rodman position provides support for the successful completion of projects under the direction of a Party Chief.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\nWhat can you expect on a daily basis?<\/p>\n<p>Assist members of the assigned survey crew with various job duties such as clearing brush; carry rod from point to point for staking; set up back site with tripod and prism as well as packing and unpacking survey equipment and supplies in trucks for daily job duties.<\/p>\n<p>These job duties and others work to accomplish the successful completion of a project within the established guidelines set forth by Survey Department Manager.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must have a high school diploma or GED certification<br \/>\n1 year previous experience in land surveying is preferred, but not required<\/li>\n<li>Ability to effectively communicate with all level of employees within an organization, both verbal and written skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to follow directions from supervisor as well as other members of engineering staff and management team<\/li>\n<li>Must be able to work in various weather conditions and terrain<\/li>\n<li>Must be able lift up to 35 lbs on a consistent basis for carrying various types of survey equipment such as tripod, prism, rod; hand and power tools, and buckets with supplies<\/li>\n<li>Must be able to work between the hours of 6 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday; occasional Saturdays.
