Many are offered to all students, regardless of their area of study. A list of scholarships is at <a href=\"https:\/\/austincc.academicworks.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">austincc.academicworks.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>There are <a href=\"#constr-scholarships\">scholarships for only construction students<\/a> (below) and a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.austincc.edu\/tuition-and-financial-aid\/scholarship-opportunities\/student-emergency-fund\">student emergency fund<\/a> for unforeseen financial emergencies and catastrophic events that may disrupt their education.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ALL BCT students are encouraged to apply for one or more scholarships<\/strong>. Tips on writing the application essay.<\/p>\n<p>Be aware that&#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A letter of recommendation from an instructor (optional) can help your application stand out from others.<\/li>\n<li>If you apply for one scholarship and don&#8217;t receive that one, you are <strong>automatically considered<\/strong> for all other scholarships for which you are eligible<\/li>\n<li>Scholarship awards look great on resumes. Apply!<\/li>\n<li>Many scholarships are for one academic year. Eligible students must have at least a 2.5 GPA. The scholarship can be used for tuition, books and fees. Just write a paragraph or two about your education and career goals &#8211; why you chose ACC and your plans after graduation.
