And unlike many schools, ACC is certified by the ASE Education Foundation (ASEEF), putting you a step closer to the important ASE technician certification.<\/p>\n

Austin Community College\u2019s Automotive Technology program is a Tech Prep Program participant. High School students may receive college credit for approved courses taken during high school. Articulating Tech Prep courses include AUMT 1405, AUMT 1407, AUMT 2417, AUMT 1410, AUMT 1416, AUMT 2489. High School students should discuss these options with their high school counselor. These courses (32 total program hours) provide basic skills for entry-level placement in the automotive field and prepare students for certification through ASE.<\/p>\n

Advanced Automotive Level 1<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Level 1 Certificate prepares students to directly enter the automotive workforce. Courses in this program can apply to ACC\u2019s Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Automotive Technology.<\/p>\n

Motorcycle Repair Advanced Level 1<\/strong><\/p>\n

Power mechanics technology training in the principles and operation of motorcycle two and four cycle engines, electrical systems, engine failure analysis, tune-up, hydraulic principles and extensive laboratory experience. It covers motorcycle chassis mounted equipment.<\/p>\n

This cocupational Skills Award consists of 3 courses for a total of 12 semester hours. Occupational Skills Awards are exempt from TSI requirements.<\/p>\n
